Some are entitled. Some seem to be earning less than minimum wage themselves with insane working hours. I have assumed that these are from the US, which is increasingly dystopian in my view. No child care. No paid maternity or paternity leave, etc.
Yes, I feel sorry for many of these people. I think it might be they just have no options, not enough money, and need some sort of support. There'll be a mix of people obviously, but some need sympathy, and help.
If they can't afford to raise children, why are they having them? I know there are some unplanned situations, unexpected children, unexpected redundancies, a death in the family, etc, but some of these must have been planned with little thought given to how much it costs to raise a child.
It makes you wonder how many parents rely upon their grandparents to look after their kids when they can only offer such pitiful remuneration
In my country if you picked up the kids from school there were always grandma's and grandpa's. Once they wanted to play after school. That poor old grandma was like: oh no. That's way too much. I said: he can come play at our place. I'll bring him back. One kid, parents were divorced, only child. One day he was with this grandma, next day the other grandparents, then the grandgrandparents, a day with aunt. Goodness.
