Thanks! I haven't been able to draw anything with my right hand in about 4 months and my original doctor's appointment for my wrist was in February. I do enjoy taking Spanish, I just really don't like my teacher (she's one of those "old fashioned" teachers who loves forcing gender roles into everything), and I don't really like German because my dad actually teaches German at my school (he's not my teacher, but he is friends with my German teacher which sucks because she kinda expected me to be good at German) and he kept promising that he would teach me german for, like, my entire childhood but never did, so I'm actually in a higher level of Spanish.

I used to work in a book store. They wanted a four year degree in a relevant field for the department manager while paying them 50 cents above minimum wage at the time. You do not need a degree to work in a book store. A love of reading and the ability to alphabetize are usually the important bits. I suppose a rare book store might be different. But good lord some people confuse pretentiousness with knowledge and worth, especially when it comes to things like books, music, or movies.

I know what the kid did was inexcusable but it really sounds like the kids were being abused at home (i.e being taken away by CPS) His behaviour was obviously a biproduct of that. Sure, it was the 80s,but nowadays we know better. Your mom arranging for an abused kid to be beaten up doesn't seem like something to brag about in hindsight.

Aw I hope your wrist heals soon!!! Though you said you didn't like those classes, I'm pretty jealous that you can take two language classes in the same school year. At my school you could only choose one and you pretty much had to stay with that one for the duration of your entire education

I always liked English lit for the focus on books and reading but also the essays sometimes did diminish my interest in casual reading of books just for the fun of it, plus they always took up so much time. However I was (and am) good at writing so it was also sort of fun to make/choose a point and then argue it with facts and reason. Depended on the essay prompt though.

My friend from high school took Latin and I guess the "bonkers teacher" is more or less a universal thing because she had one too. Also same with loving the class because it's made up of nerds.

Psychology and literature (is that one class?) also sound interesting. I would want to take a psych class because I love learning about pretty much everything but probably I'd end up learning some creepy or unsettling fact and then my anxiety would never settle again. Same with neuroscience; very interesting but I'm not sure I'm the kind of person for that class. But perhaps someday.

German sounds cool! My high school had German classes before I attended but I guess dropped the classes once I got there. So I took Spanish for the first three years and then took a year of Japanese, which is what I'm taking now that I'm in College.

Theatre sounds fun! I've always admired people who are in theatre groups (clubs, classes, what have you). I was in my high school's theatre club in ninth grade but it got interrupted because of COVID so then I didn't rejoin because of masking and everything. Now that I'm in college I'm considering joining again. I was in the costumes crew and really enjoy/ed sewing and crafting. I am definitely too shy and anxious for acting though, lol

Happy about the idea, not quite okay with the execution. Didn't have to be pee. We had a wannabe-alpha guy in our team who thought it was the women's job to bring him a coffee each time we went to get one for ourselves. It ended abruptly after I've served him a coffee sliced with orange juice. I guess he realised the message "I could have put other stuff into this as well". He was also lazy at work, so no loss when he left soon a couple of months later.

I'm taking American Literature, chemistry, German, Spanish, American history, advanced algebra, and draw/paint 2. I hate all of them. Art is usually my favorite class, and I love my art teacher, but because of my wrist injury I have to do everything with my left (non dominant) hand so all my art looks like sh!t. My other favorite class, lit, sucks this year because we have a long term sub who doesn't really know how to teach, let alone anything about actual literature.
